Five Deck Poker

Five deck poker is just another variation of the Jacks or Better five card draw video poker game.  This game adds a little spice to the fun that some of the other games don’t have though.  In five deck poker you have five separate decks to draw your five hands.  In other words you have a deck per each hand.  In this particular variation you don’t have a progressive jackpot to win.  You do have the bonus which is gaining the Royal Flush while you are betting the max.  The royal flush is always going to be the best hand.

Playing Tips

In five deck poker you are dealt a hand from each of 52 card decks that are shown on the screen.  The objective is to have at least a pair of Jacks or Better in order to get the minimal payout.  The more difficult it is to make the hand the higher the payout.  You will be playing each deck in turn.  You don’t have the same cards in each hand that are dealt.  So when the computer is done dealing all five hands it will ask you what you want to do with the first hand.  You can keep or discard any cards that you feel you will need.  Then the second deal is completed.  You don’t earn your winnings until you see if all five hands are going to be payouts or not. They do pay out per hand, but the computer won’t process the winnings until the very end.  Depending on what each hand yields you will get the answering payout.

A great strategy with this particular game is to keep any pairs that you get.  When you do this you have the chance of getting a better hand.  You should never break up the four cards that will yield a Royal Flush either, unless it is a sure bet.
